Avalon Cortrief nasal 6 mg spray

Description

    Cortrief Nasal Spray contains budesonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and allergic reactions in the nasal passages.
    It is used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, and itching caused by allergies or vasomotor rhinitis.
    Cortrief is also indicated to help treat nasal polyps and reduce the risk of recurrence after nasal surgery.
    The spray works locally in the nose, providing targeted relief with minimal systemic absorption.

How To Use

    Always follow your doctor’s instructions and consult a doctor or pharmacist if unsure.
    Adults and children over 6 years:
        Initial dose: 4 sprays per day.
        Either 1 spray in each nostril morning and evening, or 2 sprays in each nostril once daily in the morning.
        For seasonal allergic rhinitis, start treatment a few days before allergy season.
        Full effect usually occurs within a few days, although some relief may appear within hours.
        If the nose is blocked, short-term use of decongestant drops for the first 2–3 days is allowed.
        Once symptoms are controlled, the dose may be reduced to the minimum effective dose.
        Children should use the spray under adult supervision.
    Instructions for spray use:
        Prime the pump before first use by spraying into the air 5–10 times until a fine mist appears.
        If unused for one day, spray once to re-prime.
        Blow your nose, shake the bottle, and remove the protective cap.
        Insert the nozzle into one nostril, aiming away from the nasal septum.
        Spray the required dose and repeat in the other nostril.
        Do not inhale while spraying.
        Clean the nozzle with a tissue and replace the cap.
    Cleaning and maintenance:
        Clean the cap and applicator occasionally with warm (not hot) water.
        Allow parts to air dry before reassembling.
        Do not use needles or sharp objects to clean the applicator.

    Store below 30°C.
    Do not freeze.
    Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
    Store the bottle in an upright position.
    Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
    Avoid contact with the eyes; rinse immediately with water if contact occurs.

    Active ingredient is Budesonide.
    Other ingredients include Dispersible Cellulose, Dextrose Anhydrous, Polysorbate 80, Disodium Edetate, Potassium Sorbate, Hydrochloric Acid, and Purified Water.
