Ambroxol syrup

What Ambroxol is used for:


    Ambroxol is an expectorant/mucolytic used in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory Disorders associated with abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport.


Do not take Ambroxol if:


    You are hypersensitive to any of the components.


Possible side effects:


    Ambroxol is generally well-tolerated.

    Mild upper gastrointestinal side effects (primarily Heartburn, dyspepsia, and occasionally nausea, Vomiting) have been reported.

    Allergic reactions, primarily skin rash, have been rarely reported.


Other medicines and Ambroxol:


    Avoid concomitant use of Ambroxol with antibiotics.


How to take Ambroxol:


    Ambroxol syrup: Adults and children over 12 years: 10 ml three times daily; to be increased to 20 ml twice daily in severe conditions and in the initial treatment of chronic conditions up to 14 Days.

    Ambroxol syrup should be taken at mealtimes.
